WAY BACK HOME
WINNER OF THE DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL SPIRIT OF THE FRINGE COMMISSIONING AWARD 2013
Way Back Home premiered at Project Arts Centre as part of Dublin Fringe Festival Sept 2013
Presented by Louise White
Way Back Home is a collaboration between Louise White and visual artist Clare Henderson. Clare created new paintings and print works that were projected in the theatre to create the landscape of an imagined deserted Dublin. Together with two actors, a dancer, a singer, and a child they explored the sense of loss generated in our communities by empty and vacated buildings
'We have to find the way. To tell this. Our story. Together. For tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. All of this has happened but it’s not who we are. All of this has happened and it’s just not us. So we have to do it, for a nation. For our heart and your heart and the heart of it all. For the children, for the flowers, for the buildings'.
